This is a beautiful Erwin Eisch rainbow iridescent vase with a rich sapphire blue rim. This noted artist was affiliated with the Corning. Glass Company with John Littleton, where they were instrumental in the American modern art glass movement. His glass sculptures bring thousands of dollars. The frosty off-white iridescent vases were mostly from the later half of the 20th century.

Not sure of the date but we've had it at least 2 decades with limited use. In pristine condition without stains or other issues. His work has been widely exhibited, like this blurb I found from a show at the Corning Gall Museum. This is a fine example! About 6.5"h x 6"w.

1927, one of the founders of studio glass in Europe, was on view at The Corning Museum of Glass from March 15, 2012, through February 3, 2013. The exhibition recognized Eisch for his achievements in developing glass as a material for artistic expression, and it celebrated the 50th anniversary of the birth of studio glass in the United States. Objects in the exhibition spanned 40 years of Eisch's career in glass from 1964 to 2004. All of the works presented were drawn from the Museum's collection.
