Giorgio Ferro designed heavy Italian glass vase for AVEM circa 1954. AVEM or AVeM is Arte Vetraria Muranese.

Magnificent example of 20th Century Italian Modern design by a Master. One of the most beautiful objects I've ever owned, truly extraordinary. About 8.5 inches tall. Manufacturers of collectable designs of post WW2 artists Ansolo Fuga, Giulio Radi, Luciano Ferro, Aldo Nason (all deceased).

Established in 1932 by Antonio Luigi Ferro, his son Egidio, and the master glass blowers Emilio Nason, Galliano Ferro, and Guilio Radi. In 1939 Guilio Radi became artistic director and his unique, experimental designs were produced. When Radi died in 1952, Giorgio Ferro became artistic director through 1955.

The series'Anse Volanti' was introduced at the XXVI. Wear consistent with Age and Use!

"As Is" "As Found" no chips or cracks to my eye, some internal bubbles and tool marks inside neck as expected from working big hot glass with metal tools. Few dark scuff marks to surface, though difficult to see and photograph, as expected in glass vase from 1950's era. Scuff marks to vase bottom as expected from shelf life and use.
